陳思婷 Ormay Chen

陳思婷/低音提琴

畢業於茱莉亞音樂學院學士及碩士學位。在台期間曾就讀員林國小音樂班及曉明女中音樂班。就學期間師事於紐約愛樂低音提琴首席 Timothy Cobb、國立台灣交響樂團低音提琴首席 呂孟君 老師、洛杉磯愛樂低音提琴首席 Christopher Hanulik、吳佳珍 老師、Pascale Delache-Feldman。

期間更不定期回台灣舉行慈善音樂會，演出所得捐助偏鄉學校，透過音樂行善。

畢業後，於 2021 年 與台灣梧桐弦樂團合作演出 Koussevitsky 低音提琴協奏曲；2022 年 在台中國家歌劇院舉辦個人獨奏會，並以低音提琴演出《梁祝小提琴協奏曲》。

Ormay Chen, Double Bass

Ormay Chen holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from The Juilliard School. During her early musical training in Taiwan, she studied in the music program at Yuanlin Elementary School and the music program at Hsiao-Ming Girls’ High School. While studying, she received instruction from Timothy Cobb, principal double bassist of the New York Philharmonic; Meng-Chun Lü, principal double bassist of the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra; Christopher Hanulik, principal double bassist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic; Chia-Chen Wu; and Pascale Delache-Feldman.

During her studies, she regularly returned to Taiwan to present charity concerts, donating the proceeds to underprivileged rural schools and using music as a means of service.

After graduating, she performed the Koussevitzky Double Bass Concerto in collaboration with the Taiwan Wutong String Orchestra in 2021. In 2022, she presented a solo recital at the National Taichung Theater, performing the Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto arranged for double bass.
