葉宇瞳

⼤提琴家葉宇瞳畢業於美國茱莉亞⾳樂學院,獲 J. Victor Monke and Beulah E. Monke 獎學⾦取得⼤提琴演奏碩⼠學位,師事 Darrett Adkins, 也獲 Memorial Compinsky Music 獎學⾦取得加州⼤學洛杉磯分校(UCLA)⾳樂學⼠學位,師事 Antonio Lysy。葉宇瞳曾任Civic Orchestra of Chicago ⼤提琴聲部團員,並於多項⾳樂比賽中獲獎,包括 UCLA All-Star 協奏曲比賽優勝、Atwater Kent 弦樂協奏曲比賽榮譽提名,以及 Best ClassicalMusicians Awards ⾦獎。

在演出經歷⽅⾯,葉宇瞳近期於國家⽣技研究園區的講座中,⾸演作曲家黃乾育為⼤提琴獨奏所創作之《逐浪,在流⾦歲⽉交織波線上》,並參與達⾼愛樂管弦樂團於⾼雄衛武營國家藝術⽂化中⼼之演出,以及中⼭青年管弦樂團於⾼雄醫學⼤學校慶⾳樂會的演出。她也積極投入公益⾳樂活動,近年多次參與慈濟於台灣與美國舉辦的慈善⾳樂會,包括在花蓮、新店和新⽵靜思堂的演出,以及慈濟於美國加州 Santa Clara 會展中⼼和紐約長島舉辦的⼤型慈善⾳樂會。曾與鋼琴家許崴於國立清華⼤學演奏廳合作舉辦⾳樂會,廣獲好評。2020 年,葉宇瞳於 Royce Hall 與 UCLA Philharmonia 在 Bruno Nascimento 指揮下合作演出蕭⼠塔⾼維契《第⼀號⼤提琴協奏曲》,並受邀擔任客座獨奏家,與 UCLA Wind Ensemble 於 Schoenberg Hall 演出。2022 年,她於洛杉磯華特迪⼠尼⾳樂廳登台,參與洛杉磯愛樂樂團的新⾳樂系列「Noon to Midnight」。在學期間,曾擔任 UCLA Philharmonia與 UCLA Symphony ⼤提琴⾸席。

葉宇瞳亦活躍於室內樂領域。她曾與洛杉磯愛樂⼤提琴副⾸席 Ben Hong 合作演出蕭⼠塔⾼維契《弦樂八重奏》,翌年與柏林愛樂豎笛⾸席 Wenzel Fuchs 合作演出布拉姆斯《豎笛五重奏》。此外,她亦獲選參與多項國際⾳樂節她,如 Meadowmount School of Music、台北⼤師星秀⾳樂節、Telegraph Quartet ChamberFEAST、Vivace ⼤提琴⾳樂節與茱莉亞⾳樂學院 Chamberfest。除演奏之外,葉宇瞳亦熱衷於⾳樂教育,曾於茱莉亞⾳樂學院預科部擔任學⽣樂團導師,並持續經營⾃⼰的⼤提琴教學⼯作室,也在⼯作之餘喜愛跑步與烘焙。


Joycelyn Yeh

Born in San Jose, California, Jocelyn Yeh is a Taiwanese-American cellist performing across the United States and Taiwan, sharing her music and bringing more people into the world of classical music as a dynamic and versatile musician. She was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago in the 2024-25 season and received her master’s degree from The Juilliard School as a J. Victor Monke and Beulah E. Monke Scholarship recipient studying with Darrett Adkins after having received her Bachelor of Music from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music as a Memorial Compinsky Music Scholarship recipient studying with Antonio Lysy. Yeh began cello studies at age ten, and primarily studied under Chingwen Hsu, Shinyu Liu, and Chien Lee in Taiwan. While at UCLA, she was a winner of the UCLA All-Star Concerto Competition, received Honorable Mention at the Atwater Kent String Concerto Competition, and won the Best Classical Musicians Awards.

Yeh recently premiered a new work by composer Chien-Yu Huang at a medical AI conference held at the National Biotechnology Research Park. She also performed in Tzu Chi Jing Si Halls in Hualien, Taipei, and Hsinchu, as well as at the Santa Clara Convention Center and in New York City for Tzu Chi charity concerts. In 2023, she performed a recital at the National Tsing Hua University Recital Hall with pianist Wei Hsu. As a soloist, she performed the first Shostakovich Cello Concerto with the UCLA Philharmonia under maestro Bruno Nascimento at Royce Hall, and also played as guest soloist with the UCLA Wind Ensemble under maestra Doris Doyon at Schoenberg Hall. She played with the innovative classical music ensemble Jacaranda Music in Noon to Midnight, Los Angeles Philharmonic’s new music marathon, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall under maestro David Bloom. She was also invited to perform at the

Los Angeles Violoncello Society Honors Recital in 2019. While at UCLA, she was co-principal cellist of the UCLA Philharmonia and UCLA Symphony.

As an active chamber musician, Yeh has played in various chamber groups including string octet with Los Angeles Philharmonic associate principal cellist Ben Hong and clarinet quintet with Berliner Philharmoniker principal clarinetist Wenzel Fuchs. She has also participated in various music festivals such as the Meadowmount School of Music, the Taipei Music Academy and Festival on full scholarships, the Telegraph Quartet ChamberFEAST, the Vivace Cello Festival, and the Juilliard ChamberFest.

As an educator, she is committed to nurturing a strong foundation and long-lasting passion for music in her students. She was previously a strings coach at the Tzu Chi Youth Orchestra Long Island and cello mentor of the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra.
