張穎棻 ~ 鋼琴家
張穎棻出生於台灣,七歲開始學習鋼琴,十一歲時因榮獲台北第一屆日本河合鋼琴比賽冠軍而舉行個人獨奏會,演出並由台灣國家電視台播出。她曾於眾多知名音樂廳與藝術場館演出,包括紐約的 Alice Tully Hall、Avery Fisher Hall、Carnegie Weill Recital Hall、Merkin Hall、Steinway Hall、現代藝術博物館(Museum of Modern Art);華盛頓特區的 Tuesday Morning Club、Washington Arts Club Concert Series、甘迺迪中心(Kennedy Center)、Corcoran Gallery;馬里蘭州的 Strathmore Hall;維吉尼亞州的 Fairfax Auditorium;Ellipse Arts Center;華盛頓特區 Friday Morning Music Club Artist Series;法國巴黎高等師範音樂院(École Normale de Paris);加州 Academy of the West;薩爾茲堡莫札特音樂學院(Mozarteum);台北國家音樂廳;香港文化中心;以及中國北京與上海音樂廳等地。
張穎棻曾與多個知名樂團合作擔任鋼琴獨奏,包括 Syracuse Symphony Orchestra、Maryland Chamber Orchestra、Irving Symphony Orchestra、Albuquerque Symphony、New World Symphony、Hong Kong Philharmonic、National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra,以及 Dallas Chamber Orchestra。
張穎棻以優美的音色及廣泛的曲目詮釋能力,深深打動美國各地的觀眾。
《華盛頓郵報》(The Washington Post)盛讚她為「真正屬於她這一代最傑出的鋼琴家之一」。評論中並提到:「她無懈可擊的技巧與音樂品味——卓越的音色與敏銳細膩的觸鍵,在她對各種風格全面掌握之下展現無遺——這在今日的音樂舞台上極為罕見。」《紐約時報》(The New York Times)則讚揚她「精緻成熟的技巧掌控——兼具力度與柔韌性,並流露自然真誠的音樂語言」。
張穎棻長年活躍於亞洲、法國、義大利與美國之獨奏及合作演出舞台。她亦曾榮獲多項國際鋼琴比賽大獎,包括 Elizabeth Davis International Piano Competition、Thomas Richner International Competition、Concert Artists Internationals、Young Artist International Piano Competition,以及美國 Frinna Awerbuch International Piano Competition 等首獎。她並於法國巴黎 Olivier Messiaen International Piano Competition 榮獲作曲家特別獎(Composer’s Prize)。她的演出曾由 National Public Radio、WQXR(紐約)、WNYC(紐約)、WNCN(紐約)、WGTS(華盛頓特區)、WFMT(芝加哥)、WRR(達拉斯)以及台灣多家廣播節目播出。
2005年,張穎棻成為北德州首位受邀於 Greenville Entertainment Series 演出的當地鋼琴家。身為合作鋼琴家,她經常參與 Texas National Music Teachers Conference、Nebraska Music Teachers Convention Concert,以及多項著名音樂節,包括加州 Academy of the West、Gilmore International Keyboard Festival、Aspen Music Festival、芝加哥 Fox Valley Spring Festival,以及台灣基隆國際室內樂音樂節。她亦曾隨台北室內樂家協會赴北京、上海與廣州巡演。
張博士亦於多所大學舉行獨奏會演出,包括 Rice University、Baylor University、Southern Methodist University、Texas Woman’s University、Dallas Baptist University、University of Texas at Tyler、Richland College、Eastfield College,以及芝加哥 Judson University、內布拉斯加大學(University of Nebraska)與羅德島大學(University of Rhode Island)等校。
張穎棻亦是備受邀請的評審、講座講員與音樂工作坊講師,活躍於 Dallas–Fort Worth 地區。近年她曾擔任多項重要鋼琴比賽評審,包括 2018 與 2025 年 TMTA Regional Solo Performance Contest、2016 與 2025 年 Collin County Young Artist Concerto Competition、Richardson 北德州青年音樂比賽,以及其他多項國際青年音樂家比賽。
張穎棻為 Steinway Artist。她畢業於茱莉亞音樂學院(The Juilliard School),取得鋼琴演奏學士與碩士學位,並於馬里蘭大學(University of Maryland)取得鋼琴演奏藝術博士學位(Doctor of Musical Arts)。
她曾師事多位著名鋼琴家,包括 Abbey Simon、Russell Sherman、Jerome Lowenthal、Thomas Schumacher 與 Santiago Rodriguez。
目前,張博士任教於 Dallas College – Mountain View Campus 鋼琴系。她亦曾於茱莉亞音樂學院、University of Texas at Dallas、Southern Methodist University 擔任合作鋼琴家,並曾任教於 East Texas A&M University 與德州 Sherman 的 Austin College 鋼琴系。
Fenia Chang ~ pianist
Born in Taiwan, Fenia began piano study at the age of 7 and made her solo debut at the age of 11, after winning the first Japan Kawai Piano Competition in Taipei, Taiwan. The performance was broadcast on national television in Taiwan. She has performed extensively at venues including the Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, Merkin Hall, Steinway Hall, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City; Tuesday Morning Club, the Washington Arts Club Concert Series, the Kennedy Center, the Corcoran Gallery in Washington DC, the Strathmore Hall in Maryland, Fairfax Auditorium in Virginia, the Ellipse Arts Center, Friday Morning Music Club Artist Series in Washington DC, Ecole Normale de Paris in France, the Academy of the West in CA, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the National Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan, the Cultural Center of Hong Kong, Concert Hall in Beijing and Shanghai in China.
Fenia appears as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, Maryland Chamber Orchestra, Irving Symphony Orchestra, the Albuquerque Symphony, New World Symphony, Hong Kong Philharmonic, and National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, as well as Dallas Chamber Orchestra.
Fenia has enchanted audiences from all over the United States with her beautiful tone as well as her wide range of repertoire.
The Washington Post hailed her as “truly one of the greatest pianists of her generation”. “Her impeccable techniques and music taste---superb tone and sensitive touch delivered under her full command of styles---rarely seen on today’s concert stage”. The New York Times praised her “refined technical mastery---combining vigor and suppleness with natural eloquence”.
Fenia has maintained a busy concert career in both solo and collaborative performances in Asia, France, Italy, and the United States. She is also the recipient of many competition awards, including the top prizes at the Elizabeth Davis International Piano Competition, Thomas Richner International competition, Concert Artists Internationals, Young Artist International Piano Competition, and the Frinna Awerbuch International Piano Competition of the United States. She also won the Composer’s Prize at the Olivier Messiaen International Piano Competition in Paris, France. Her performances have been broadcast by the National Public Radio, WQXR (New York), WNYC (New York), WNCN (New York), WGTS (Washington DC), WFMT (Chicago), and WRR (Dallas), as well as other radio broadcast programs throughout Taiwan.
In 2005, Fenia was the first local pianist in North Texas to be invited to perform at the Greenville Entertainment Series in Texas. As a collaborative pianist, Fenia has been a frequent participant at the National Music Teachers Conference in Texas, Nebraska Music Teachers Convention Concert, at prestigious music festival, such as the Academy of the West in California, the Gilmore International Keyboard Festival, Aspen Music Festival, Fox Valley Spring Festival in Chicago as well as the International Chamber Music Festival in Keelung, Taiwan. Fenia has toured with the Taipei Chamber Music Players’ Society tour to Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou in China.
Dr. Chang’s active recital schedules also showcase performances at numerous universities, including solo recitals at Rice University, Baylor University, Southern Methodist University, Texas Woman’s University, Dallas Baptist University, University of Texas at Tyler, Richland College, Eastfield College, as well as Judson University in Chicago, IL, University of Nebraska in NE, and University of Rhode Island.
Fenia is a sought-after adjudicator, clinician, and frequent presenter at music workshops in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She is also a frequent adjudicator at several prominent piano competitions, with recent duties at the TMTA Regional Solo Performance Contest in 2018 & 2025, Collin County Young Artist Concerto Competition in 2016 & 2025, a North Texas Youth Music Competition in Richardson, as well as other international young artist competitions.
Fenia is a Steinway Artist. She holds the Bachelor's and Master of Music Degrees from the Juilliard School, and Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Maryland.
Her teachers include pianists Abbey Simon, Russell Sherman, Jerome Lowenthal, Thomas Schumacher, and Santiago Rodriguez.
Dr. Chang is currently a piano faculty member at Dallas College – Mountain View Campus. And she has served as a collaborative pianist at The Juilliard School, University of Texas at Dallas, Southern Methodist University, as well as the piano faculty at East Texas A&M University and Austin College in Sherman, Texas.
