張㦤文(Yi-Wen Chang)——鋼琴家


鋼琴家張㦤文以其精湛的技巧與創新獨特的音樂會節目設計廣受好評。她的音樂旅程遍及美國、加拿大、俄羅斯及臺灣,並與多位知名藝術家合作,包括 Rebecca Penneys、Ramon Ricker、Ian Bousfield 與 Jeffrey Milarsky 等。張㦤文的演出足跡遍及 Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre、臺灣國家音樂廳、莫斯科音樂院國際夏季音樂節,以及紐約羅徹斯特的 Women in Music Festival。她的藝術表現也曾於 WXXI 與 WBFO 電台播出,並收錄於其最新專輯《Reflections》中,該專輯與小提琴家 Pia Liptak 合作,由 Centaur Records 發行。


張㦤文對音樂風格演變具有濃厚興趣,以策劃原創節目著稱。她對新創作品與重新想像的經典曲目深感著迷,致力於復興十九世紀「作曲家—鋼琴家」傳統,為當代聽眾帶來全新的音樂體驗。自 2015 年起,她創立「Then and Now」音樂會系列,結合傳統與當代作品,為這項傳統注入新生命,並協助觀眾重新理解其歷史意義。她的作曲與改編作品包括台灣民謠〈望春風〉,以及原創作品 Imminence 與 A Stream of Thought。近期,她於 WXXI 首演 Preludes to Chopin Preludes 及 Between Mozart and Chopin。張逸文也積極投入當代音樂演出,曾詮釋 Lera Auerbach、Matt Herskowitz、William Duckworth 與 Stephen Hough 等作曲家的作品,並於近期擔綱西班牙作曲家 Benet Casablancas《Dos Páginas para Granados》美國首演。


除了演奏生涯之外,張逸文亦是一位全心投入的教育者。她曾擔任多項鋼琴比賽評審,包括 MTNA 紐約州比賽、Rochester Philharmonic League Young Artist Auditions、Nazareth University 鋼琴大賽,以及臺灣全國鋼琴比賽。她現任 Hochstein School 鋼琴系主任,並擔任 Nazareth University 與 Hobart and William Smith Colleges 的鋼琴教授。她的學術貢獻包括將 R.O. Morris 的《Figured Harmony at the Keyboard》翻譯為中文,該教材已廣泛應用於華語地區多所音樂學院。


張㦤文於伊士曼音樂學院取得鋼琴演奏學士及音樂藝術博士學位,並獲頒極具聲望的 Performer’s Certificate,師從 Rebecca Penneys。她於茱莉亞音樂院取得鋼琴演奏碩士學位,師事 Joseph Kalichstein。


Pianist Yi-Wen Chang has garnered acclaim for her impeccable technique and innovative concert programs. Her musical journey has taken her to the United States, Canada, Russia, and Taiwan. Chang has collaborated with distinguished artists such as Rebecca Penneys, Ramon Ricker, Ian Bousfield, and Jeffrey Milarsky, and her performances have been featured in venues including Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, Taiwan National Concert Hall, the Moscow Conservatory International Summer Festival, and the Women in Music Festival in Rochester, New York. Her artistry has been showcased on WXXI and WBFO broadcasts and can also be heard on the recent album Reflections, a collaboration with violinist Pia Liptak, released by Centaur Records.


Chang has a keen interest in the evolution of musical styles and is known for curating original concert programs. Fascinated by new compositions and re-imagined repertoire, she is dedicated to reviving the 19th-century composer-pianist tradition, bringing fresh perspectives to the concert experience. Since 2015, she has created the Then and Now concert series, combining traditional and contemporary music to breathe new life into this practice and help audiences reconnect with its significance. Her compositions and transcriptions include the Taiwanese folk song Longing for the Spring Breeze and original works such as Imminence and A Stream of Thought. Recently, she premiered Preludes to Chopin Preludes and Between Mozart and Chopin on WXXI. Chang’s engagement with contemporary music performance includes works by composers such as Lera Auerbach, Matt Herskowitz, William Duckworth, and Stephen Hough. She also recently gave the U.S. premiere of Dos Páginas para Granados by Spanish composer Benet Casablancas.


Alongside her performance career, Chang is a dedicated pedagogue. She has served as an adjudicator for numerous piano competitions, including the MTNA New York State Competition, Rochester Philharmonic League Young Artist Auditions, Nazareth University Piano Competition, and Taiwan National Piano Competition. Chang currently serves as the Chair of the Piano Department at The Hochstein School and on the piano faculty at Nazareth University and Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Her scholarly contributions include translating R.O. Morris’s Figured Harmony at the Keyboard into Chinese, a text widely adopted in music colleges across Chinese-speaking regions.


Chang earned her Bachelor of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance with the prestigious Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music under the tutelage of Rebecca Penneys. She received her Master of Music in Piano Performance from the Juilliard School, studying with Joseph Kalichstein.
