出生於臺北的鋼琴家沈柏均(Jimmy Shen),以深厚的藝術造詣與充滿張力的音樂詮釋著稱,活躍於國際舞台並逐漸建立起備受期待的音樂家形象。他畢業於茱麗亞音樂學院(The Juilliard School),隨陳宏寬教授習琴,並以細膩而富有能量的演奏風格受到廣大聽眾的青睞。他的茱莉亞學習旅程始於 Jerome Lowenthal 教授的指導,並於 2022 年取得音樂學士學位。現於波士頓大學 (Boston University) 攻讀鋼琴博士學位,師從Pavel Nersessian,持續深化其藝術視野與演奏理念。柏均以獨奏家、室內樂演奏家與合作演出者的多重角色而聞名,他對早期鋼琴與大鍵琴亦具備深入研究,讓其演奏呈現兼具歷史感與現代感的獨特層次。
在演出經歷方面,柏均的足跡遍及美國、亞洲和歐洲。他於 2014 年在中國全國廣播音樂會《滬港澳台青年音樂家》中首次獲得大眾矚目,於上海音樂廳與上海音樂學院青年交響樂團合作的演出更為其日後的音樂道路奠定基礎。留學期間,他在多個國際知名場館中登台,包括美國的 Walt Disney Concert Hall、Zipper Concert Hall、Peter Jay Sharp Theater;中國的上海音樂廳;日本的正眼寺大會堂與 Dolce Artist Salon;臺灣師範大學大禮堂與綩沙藝術中心;以及義大利佛羅倫斯的 Accademia Bartolomeo Cristofori。這些舞台經驗反映出他對不同文化環境的敏銳感知,也使他的音樂詮釋更加多元而成熟。
在室內樂與合作領域中,柏均同樣展現出色的音樂直覺與深刻的合作能力。2024 年,他與鋼琴家 Umi Garrett 受邀參加緬因州 Bay Chamber Concert Series,雙鋼琴演出大獲好評。2023 年,他於林肯中心 Peter Jay Sharp Theater 的 Juilliard ChamberFest 中演奏巴爾托克《雙鋼琴與敲擊樂奏鳴曲》,展現對二十世紀作品的掌握力。更早之前,他曾於 Navah Perlman 的私人招待會上與同學合作詮釋布拉姆斯與舒曼的鋼琴四重奏。除此之外,他也積極投入社區音樂活動,長期於教堂、退休之家、校園與私人住宅舉辦演出,致力於讓音樂走入不同背景的聽眾之中。
柏均曾與眾多國際知名鋼琴家合作並接受指導,包括 Malcolm Bilson、Lydia Brown、Bruce Brubaker、Jonathan Feldman、Stefano Fiuzzi、Wu Han、Conor Hanick、Jin Ju、Yoheved Kaplinsky、Julian Martin、Anne-Marie McDermott、Rebecca Pennys、Paul Schenly、Ignat Solzhenitsyn、Jean-Yves Thibaudet、Ilana Vered 和 Yuan Sheng。他也曾受邀參加 Colburn 國際鋼琴音樂節、漢普頓鋼琴藝術節、Rebecca Pennys 鋼琴藝術節與佛羅倫斯早期鋼琴學院音樂節等,以不斷擴展其藝術語彙。
除了演出,柏均在音樂教育上亦展現熱情與天賦。現為波士頓大學 (Boston University) 鋼琴部門助教,並於 2022–25 年在 茱莉亞音樂學院 (The Juilliard School) 擔任必修鋼琴教師,全權教授非鋼琴主修的本科與研究生。他曾任音樂理論課程助教,負責鍵盤技能指導、作業與考試協助,並與學生保持緊密溝通;在音樂史課程中,他協助教材開發、課程行政與成績管理,展現周全細緻的教學態度。

Bo-Jun (Jimmy) Shen
Bo-Jun (Jimmy) Shen, a distinguished pianist born in Taipei City, Taiwan, has captivated audiences across the globe with his profound artistry and dynamic interpretations. A 2024 graduate of The Juilliard School’s prestigious master’s program, where he studied under Professor Hung-Kuan Chen, Jimmy is known for his sensitive yet passionate playing, bringing a vibrant energy that forges powerful emotional connections with listeners. His journey at Juilliard began with a Bachelor of Music degree completed in 2022 under the mentorship of Professor Jerome Lowenthal. He is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in piano performance at Boston University under the guidance of Pavel Nersessian. A celebrated solo performer, highly sought-after collaborator, and deeply committed chamber musician, Jimmy also brings fresh insights to the fortepiano and harpsichord, infusing his performances with historical depth and distinctive warmth.
Jimmy's career has been shaped by notable concerts and recitals across the United States, Asia, and Europe, establishing him as a dynamic presence on the international stage. His early acclaim took root in 2014, when he performed in China’s National Broadcast Concert Young Music Makers from Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Appearing with the Shanghai Conservatory Youth Orchestra at the historic Shanghai Concert Hall, this memorable performance solidified his reputation as a young artist of exceptional promise and laid the foundation for his distinguished career.
Over the years, Jimmy has continued to broaden his artistry through a wide range of solo and collaborative performances in internationally recognized venues, including Walt Disney Concert Hall, Zipper Concert Hall, and Peter Jay Sharp Theater in the United States; Shanghai Concert Hall, Shogenji Great Hall, Dolce Artist Salon, National Taiwan Normal University Auditorium, and Wansha Performing Arts Center in Asia; and Accademia Bartolomeo Cristofori in Florence, Italy.
His chamber music work is equally compelling, captivating audiences around the world. In August of this year, he and pianist Umi Garrett were featured at the annual “Bay Chamber Concerts” in Maine, where they delivered a much-acclaimed two-piano recital. In January 2023, he presented an unforgettable performance of Bartók’s Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion during Juilliard's ChamberFest at Lincoln Center’s Peter Jay Sharp Theatre. Earlier, in February 2020, he joined esteemed colleagues at a private reception hosted by Navah Perlman, performing selections from Brahms and Schumann piano quartets. Through his versatility and dedication to community engagement—expressed in countless performances in churches, retirement homes, and private residences—Jimmy remains committed to bringing music’s transformative power to listeners of all backgrounds.
An active participant in master classes and music festivals, Jimmy has worked closely with internationally celebrated pianists such as Malcolm Bilson, Lydia Brown, Bruce Brubaker, Jonathan Feldman, Stefano Fiuzzi, Wu Han, Conor Hanick, Jin Ju, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Julian Martin, Anne-Marie McDermott, Rebecca Pennys, Paul Schenly, Ignat Solzhenitsyn, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Ilana Vered, and Yuan Seng. His summers have been shaped by participation in leading festivals, including the
Colburn Piano Festival, PianoFest in the Hamptons, Rebecca Pennys Piano Festival, and the Florence Early Piano Academy Festival.
Beyond performing, Jimmy is passionate about teaching and music education. He currently serves as a graduate assistant in Boston University’s piano department. As a Juilliard teaching fellow in secondary piano from 2022 to 2025, he took full responsibility for teaching undergraduate and graduate students who are non-piano majors, guiding them toward a deeper understanding of the instrument. In his role as a music theory fellow at Juilliard, Jimmy led keyboard sessions, provided homework and exam support, maintained regular communication with students, and participated in weekly faculty meetings. Additionally, as a teaching assistant in music history, he developed course resources, facilitated communication between students and instructors, and managed make-up exams.
Outside of music, Jimmy is a devoted American professional sports fan who also enjoys reading, watching films, and traveling.
